A: Yes; for smooth operation, both right and left side balance and end should be replaced.

Q. If my window glass rattles and air gets in, what do I need to repair my window?

A: Repair your window with snap-in glazing bead; 20ft. needed for typical window.

Q: My sliding window does not slide easily or seems stuck?

A: Examine and replace if necessary, worn sliding window rollers or slide guides. Also, the “track” that the window slides on should be examined. Vinyl replacement track can be installed to cover worn out track.

Q: How can I make my windows more secure against break-ins?

A: Replace broken locks and latches. Install single or double thumb screws security locks or other security devices found in our catalog.

Q: What do I need when my casement window crank handle slips when I turn it and does not operate the window properly?

A: Install new replacement handle with by matching the correct spline size (Figure 15).
